Undergraduate Psychology Organizations

THE PSYCHOLOGY UNDERGRADUATE COUNCIL, is open to all students interested in psychology.  The council organizes or contributes to a number of events each year, such as Independent Study Fairs, graduate study interest meetings, faculty/student social events, the Honors Thesis colloquium, and the Psychology Diploma Ceremony. The Council staffs the Psychology Advising Office, Mel 215, maintains that office's bulletin board, and publishes a newsletter. Being active in the Undergraduate Psychology Council is an excellent way to meet other psychology students at all levels, to learn about psychology at the University of Rochester beyond the iceberg tip of the courses, and to engage interesting current issues in informal settings.  To be added to the council's mailing list, e-mail the secretary, Abbe Cohen.

The council holds weekly meetings, Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Meliora Hall 366.  Spring council activities include a community service event, Graduate School Workshop, and Movie Night (all in February), Social Faculty Mixer, Executive Board Elections, and a Guest Speaker (in March), Fundraising Event & End of Year Dinner (in April).
